Four facts. All verifiable.

Material

18 mm MDF corpus

Not chipboard. Published on every product page with full spec sheet.

Components

Every supplier named

Hettich connectors, Samet drawer slides, Würth edge banding. We list them all.

Returns

60 days, not 14

Standard Norwegian e-commerce return period is 14 days. We give you 60.

Assembly

Pre-assembled from factory

Arrives ready to mount. No flat-pack, no weekend assembly project.

MDF vs. chipboard in a bathroom

700–800

kg/m³ density

MDF is denser than chipboard (400–600 kg/m³). Higher density means better screw retention and more structural rigidity at edges and joints.

18 mm

vs. 16 mm thickness

HeiHus uses 18 mm MDF corpus. Most competitors use 16 mm chipboard. The extra 2 mm, combined with denser material, makes a measurable difference in rigidity.

Less

edge swell from moisture

Chipboard swells at cut edges when exposed to humidity. MDF has a uniform fiber structure — it doesn't have the same weak points at panel edges.

Why does good bathroom furniture cost three times what it should?

Most bathroom furniture sold in Norway passes through multiple layers: manufacturer, exporter, importer, distributor, retailer. Each layer adds margin. By the time a cabinet reaches the consumer, the price has been multiplied several times over, not because the product improved, but because the chain is long.

Allier Group, the parent company behind Bad.no, was started to change this. Bad.no has operated in the Norwegian bathroom market for years, handling logistics, customer service, and returns directly. That infrastructure already existed.

HeiHus was built on top of that infrastructure. The furniture is designed in Norway and manufactured in Türkiye, a country that leads several European markets in bathroom and furniture production. We chose the best possible material for every detail: Turkish MDF from Starwood (E1/CARB2 certified, one of the highest-density panel manufacturers in Europe), hardware from Hettich and Würth, and Samet drawer systems. The product ships directly from factory to warehouse to customer.

No distributor. No retail markup. No brand licensing fee. That's why a 60 cm vanity package with sink, handles, and mirror cabinet costs 8,985 kr, not 23,000 or 30,000.

Starwood MDF

18 mm MDF panels from Starwood. E1/CARB2 certified. Higher density and better moisture resistance than the chipboard used by most competitors.

Industry-standard cam-lock connector from Hettich. Invisible, tool-free, and re-tightenable. Used in high-end European furniture manufacturing.

Drawer slide

Samet Slidea Ultimade

Full-extension, soft-close drawer slides from Samet. Rated for tens of thousands of cycles. Smooth, quiet, and built to last.
